Didaktisches Ziel & Zweck

Persuasive speaking with nothing to lose: the object is worthless, so every argument has to be invented. The sillier the object, the better the sentences.

Phasierung & Ablauf im Unterricht

  1. Pairs. One sells, one buys. Show the object and give the seller a minute to think — the name is on the picture.
  2. Two minutes of selling. The buyer may ask questions and should be hard to convince. Then they swap roles with the next picture.
  3. Tap a starter when a pair gets stuck. Fetch them one at a time; all at once is a script, not help.
  4. Finally: who bought? Two pairs report the best argument to the class.

Classroom English & Redemittel

Hilfreiche Sprachimpulse für eine einsprachige Moderation:

  • “Look at this beautiful … Sell it to your partner!”
  • “Why should I buy it? Convince me.”
  • “How much is it? That's far too much!”
  • “Deal or no deal?”

Differenzierung & Varianten

Auction: one pupil sells to the whole class, the class bids in full sentences. Or the buyer gets a role card — a grandmother, a footballer, an astronaut — and the seller has to adapt the pitch.
